Dignity Adult Services strives to ensure a better quality of life for participants and their families by providing affordable and dependable care which brings peace of mind and promotes independence.

Enrichment Activities

Individualized or group enrichment activities include arts and crafts, music appreciation, dance, memory enhancing activities, photography, creative writing and guided biographies.

Group Education

Group Education is designed to enhance the knowledge and awareness of the environment, build language and conceptual skills and encourage socializing through literature and poetry, as well as taking cultural, historical or educational field trips.

Health and Wellness

Daily fitness activities include a variety of physical activities and games to stretch muscles, get bodies moving and increase oxygen flow. Regular preventative and health maintenance education classes.

Program Benefits

The services that Dignity offers include social activities, meals, recreation, and some health-related services in supervised group settings:

Adult enrichment activities, including music, visual arts and drama
Assistance programs for non-English speakers
Exercise and therapeutic physical fitness programs

Rehabilitative services, including balance and mobility classes
Social work services
Respite and support groups for caregivers
Nursing and professional care
Monitoring of vital signs and medications
Nutritious meals and snacks (breakfast, hot lunch and two afternoon snacks)
Transportation

About Us

We conduct an individual needs assessment at the time of admission to determine the person's range of abilities, needs, and interests.
We provide an active program that meets the daily social, recreational and rehabilitative needs of the person in care.
We develop an individualized care plan for every participant and monitor it regularly, adjusting the plan as necessary.
We provide referrals to other needed community services.
We provide a range of in-house services, including transportation, meals, health screening and monitoring, educational programs, counseling and rehabilitative services.
We provide a safe, nurturing environment with qualified and well-trained staff.
Our center exceeds existing state and national standards and guidelines for Adult Day Care centers.

Our Mission

Dignity Adult Services' mission is to ensure a better quality of life for our participants and their families by providing affordable and dependable care which brings peace of mind and promotes independence.

Our adult day program serves up to 35 seniors and persons with disabilities who need a higher level of care, but can still benefit from receiving services in a group setting. We offer a unique perspective of focusing on individual strengths of our participants to create an enriching environment through guided biographies, photography, literature, poetry, visual arts and fitness.

Participants

Dignity Adult Services is propelled by a vision to enhance the lives of seniors and adults with disabilities through the use and development of their skills, talents, and interests. We focus on including individuals from the Twin Cities metro area who would otherwise not have an opportunity to express or re-establish a sense of accomplishment and self-worth.

Our program welcomes seniors 65+ and individuals with disabilities. The participants must be 18 years of age or older. We are creating a diverse community of participants including bilingual adults and native speakers of languages such as Russian.
